I am sorry for not updating the website but i have been on vacation,being a Grandpa, and also I am back at work. I am so grateful to all of you for your continued support and thru Gods grace, everything seems to be going pretty well. I would like all to please continue to pray for Kim and I that God keeps working in our lives and that Gods gift of recovery and his healing touch keeps my Leukemia in remission. My last visit to the doctor was good and I do not have to return for a month but I will still have to go to Emory and go get prematched for bone marrow. I was in Alaska for the last week in June and I am truly blessed to see Gods beautiful nature and I would like to say a special thanks to the nursing staff and the Embracing life foundation for making my vacation possible and I recommend that if you ever get a chance the trip was heavenly and I will be saving up for a future cruise when possible. Well I very Grateful that God was so gracious that our daughter delivered a healthy 6 pound 14 oz grandson while we were also on vacation name Brodie Lane Shepperd I am very proud and he is gorgeous. I am so grateful for each and every day of life and the blessings that have been delivered to me thru this year of trials but I have learned that if God is involved it is more special , precious and much more easier to handle so continue to pray for all those in need and the comfort to their familys and please send a special prayer to the Whigham family as Mary lou Harris passed on also during our vacation. I would like to say that she was a very special person in our life and the example of life that her and her family have inspired on our family is very Godly and she will be greatly missed . Well I will try and not be as long in between blogs from now on and my love is never ending Love always Gene and Kim very proud Grandparents    

Well good morning all and may you have a blessed weekend. I am feeling better each day and I would like to say thanks to everyone for their continued prayers thru this time in our life. I will possibly not be bloggin for the next week as Kim and I will be flying out tomorrow for a cruise to Alaska, thanks due to the nursing staff at Northest Georgia Medical Hospital, they sent a letter in on our behalf and we were awarded an all expense cruise and we are so grateful, but we ask that you please continue to pray for Gods Grace on our family and I am going to try and blog while I am gone but will not know for sure till tomorrow afternoon. Kim and I have been so blessed during this trying time and we will be forever grateful to all the people that have touched our lives and the out pouring of Love that we have received. Plesae continue to pray for all those in need and their familys and a special prayer for Mary Lou Harris and her family as her condition has really gotten worse and that Gods Grace and comfort be with her and her family. We love all very much and thanks again, Love Gene and Kim always

I am feeling very well this morning and I went to the doctor yesterday and I did not need any transfusions. I would like all to please continue to pray for my recovery and that Gods gracious touch keeps blessing our family. I would also like for all to please continue to pray for all thoughs in need and comfort to their familys and we have a special prayer for Lane Stevens and his family that Gods healing touch be upon them. Well good morning all and may you all be blessed by Gods Grace. I would like to say a special birthday greeting to my mom, I am so fortunate to have been blessed with a mother that has truly given her life to her children and the many blessings that she has provided to us in our daily lives and she is a true example of what a mothers love is all about, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM AND I LOVE YOU, and also Happy Birthday to my cousin Janice with whom I am so proud of and the way our lifes have changed. We are truly blessed with Gods Blessings and I love you,Happy Birthday. I am truly blessed with a loving and caring family and I am forever grateful. I am going to be going to the doctor today for another check up. I am feeling pretty good, the pain in my back has lightened up some. Well please remember to continue to pray for our family and please continue to pray for all thoughs in need and Gods comfort and loving touch on all of us and remember that we love and pray for all of you daily Love always Gene and Kim forever.

I am doing pretty well except my back has been hurting a lot this week but over all I am grateful for the way I am doing and if all keeps going well I am going to try and return to work Monday June 30 after me and Kim return from vacation. We are truly blessed with our free trip to Alaska on a cruise. God has truly smiled upon us and we are forever grateful. Please continue to pray that Gods healing touch and grace continue to bless our lives and as always please continue to pray for all those in need and Gods comfort be upon them always. I would like to add Art A. to the prayer list as he is recovering from having a lung removed and please continue to pray for Allison as she gets ready for additional treatment and surgery and remember that we Love you all more than we can ever express Love always Gene and Kim.

Please remember to give blood and platelets to your local blood drives and for all who are truly up for a challenge there is a great need for people to be tested for bone marrow. 

Hi Everyone!  Gene hasn’t been able to get onto the internet this morning.  We are doing well.  Gene has been trying to take it easy even though he is feeling pretty good.  We are starting to get excited about our vacation (I’M REALLY EXCITED!) Gene and I are extremely blessed.  We are surrounded by family and friends who care a great deal about us and we have a strong faith in Christ who provides us with everything we need.  Please remember YOU ARE BLESSED TOO!.

Well good morning all and I hope all goes well and that all have a very relaxing weekend. I went to the doctor yesterday and I had to have platelets and I am feeling pretty well so I am looking for a grand weekend and mainly trying not to over do things. I have had to learn not to push myself to far and it is not my usual style but I am doing better.
